stompybot the t-rex
Stompybot the T-Rex was created for the Micro:bit Virtual Parade. Since each parade float had to cross the screen, I wanted to make a robot that walked instead of using a rolling chassis. Unfortunately, because the cardboard mechanism is so lightweight, Stompybot can't carry his own battery pack! (Hence the wires going up and out of the shot in the video below).

Walking Mechanism
The walking mechanism was inspired by Mr. H2's Simple Walking Robot on Youtube, but adapted to work with cardboard.
T-Rex Body
The T-Rex body was inspired by Rob Ive's Poseable Paper T-Rex on Instructables, but modified to accommodate the walking mechanism on the inside of the body.
Roar!
The roaring mechanism simply uses a microservo attached to the head.
